About Us

How it all started..
Alimrose Designs (formerly Native Bush Babies) began in 1980’s when two mothers were tired of not being able to access Australian designed dolls and products for their children. This inspired them to begin their own company. The company originally made Australian themed dolls and figurines based around the characters from the stories of May Gibbs.
Over the years the range grew and eventually included a large range of bibs, soft toys, and quilts and cushions & home wares.
In 1997 the company changed its trading name from Native Bush Babies to Alimrose Designs & at the same time took a change of direction with the designs and style of their baby accessories. Now Alimrose Designs is one the most sought after Australian brands in the Australian market place as well as Europe and the USA.
Giving a little back:
We love what we do and get a lot of satisfaction out of designing gorgeous products & seeing them on babies and in homes everywhere. It is our pleasure to give a little bit back by proudly supporting many local charities and also the international Save the Children Fund, an incredibly important and worthwhile charity.
Save the Children is a charity that we feel passionately about. Save the Children Australia aims to ensure that all children, regardless of gender, race, country of origin or religious belief have the means for survival, receive protection and have access to nutrition, primary health care and basic education.
Save the Children fights for children's rights. They deliver immediate and lasting improvements to children's lives worldwide.
Save the Children fights on behalf of children, forcing their voices into the wider arena to make their needs heard and their rights recognised. They challenge abuse, misuse and ignorance. They fight not on a physical level, but an intellectual and emotional one.
